Welcome to Dustbone Apparel

My name is Nathan Callender, and I have always had a passion for merging art with fashion. Drawing has been a lifelong pursuit of mine, and in 2013, I took the leap to turn my vision into reality by founding DUSTBONE APPAREL from my home on Ladys Island, SC, in Beaufort County.
I began my journey by learning the intricacies of shirt-making from scratch, gradually upgrading my equipment and refining my process over the years. Through hard work and dedication, I’m proud to say that we’ve built something remarkable together.
With nine years of service in the Air Force and a fulfilling 31-year career in the fire service, I bring a deep appreciation for the community of emergency responders and fellow veterans to our brand.
The name 'DUSTBONE' embodies the essence of transformation. It represents our roots and the evolution we undergo. Our logo features a three-eyed owl, symbolizing awareness and wisdom. The three eyes reflect our core philosophy of DESTROY, REBUILD, REPEAT, emphasizing the ongoing cycle of growth and change.
I am fortunate to be supported by my wife, Piper, who plays a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly. Every product we create is made, packaged, and shipped directly from our hands to yours.
Thank you for joining us on this exciting journey. We are thrilled to have you as part of the DUSTBONE family.
- Nate
